Hotel La Nacional By Kavia

Location is outstanding...just a block from plaza grande where there were many interesting events in addition to the permanent attractions there. We got a quiet room, which was great. Bed was super comfortable.And we enjoyed sitting by the pool open to the sky. People at desk were helpful in answering our questions and booking taxi back to airport.

The location was superb with restaurants, bars, shops, and a small plaza a few steps away. The main Plaza and Cathedral is one block. The room was large but sparsely furnished. My room was interior opening onto the coutyard and was really quiet - no street noise. Good black out curtains. Wifi was good - I could do a Zoom meeting. The room was really inexpensive.

The hotel is centrally located, right on the square (this does mean a lot of noise at the weekend if you're in a square side room). The hotel was very clean and rooms were cleaned daily. Our bedroom had a lot of space. Free drinking water is provided and the staff were very kind to let us use their fridge. New water bottles were provided in the room each day. The pool is small but nice for a refreshing, quick dip. Good value for money.

The location of this hotel was perfect - only a few blocks from the main plaza. All of the staff were very friendly. Jorge was especially helpful and friendly. On Monday morning, we wanted to leave early to get to Chichen Itza and the parking lot wasn't yet open. The staff was so nice to have someone go open it for us before their opening hours! We made it to Chicken Itza right as it was opening to avoid the crowds.

We were allocated a room overlooking one of the city's main thoroughfares for the first night but found the traffic and nearby-bar noise too loud to sleep soundly. However, we asked if it was possible to move rooms the next morning and the reception staff were very accommodating, moving us to a room in a much quieter location, so well done! It also had two double beds, rather than one, which was nice. The only downside was a less-than-efficient shower which failed to direct a consistent jet of water. Overall, a pleasant five-night stay in a brilliantly-located hotel only a block away from the city's main square with all its attractions.
